Worship and Music meets every 1st Wednesday at 7:00 PM
Committee Members: Linda Fink, Harvey Lengel, Ricky Roth, Lydia Beck, Merribeth Levan, Sandi Yeakley, and Pastor Jensen
The purpose of the Worship & Music Committee is to:
a) Assist the congregation in seeing that the services of God’s house are conducted regularly and in accordance with the liturgy of the Lutheran Church in America.
b) See that competent ushers, lectors, acolytes, and communion assistants are recruited and trained.
c) See that hymnals and other devotional materials are provided and properly cared for.
d) In consultation with the Pastor, Director of Music / Choir Director, Organist, and Bell Choir Director, furnish music supplies and hymn selections appropriate for use in the worship services of a congregation of the Lutheran Church of America.
e) Arrange for the care and cleaning of Paraments, Vestments, Linens, Communion Ware, Acolyte Gowns, Advent Wreath, Easter Crosses (inside & outside) etc.
f) Recruit, train, and/or schedule the following: Nursery, Ushers, Lectors, Acolytes, Communion Assistants, Flower Chart & sponsors, Bulletin & sponsors, Celebrate charts & sponsors, Sound System Volunteers, Crucifer Bearers, etc.
g) Arrange for plants and all decorating (inside and outside) of the church for all Holidays.
h) Supervise the employment of the Director of Music, Choir Director, Organist, Bell Choir Director and other appropriate paid positions.
i) Encourage family attendance at all services and programs.
